NexTemp
NexTemp Thermometers come in two styles: The disposable, one use variety and the personal use reusable thermometer

1. Single-Use Clinical Thermometers

The quick, accurate, "no-hassle" way to take a temp.

DESCRIPTION:

A thin, flexible plastic strip with a grid of dots at one end. Designed as a disposal use thermometer.

FEATURES:

  • Accurate: NexTemp Precision Phase Change (PPC) thermometers have been proven under clinical conditions and meet stringent accuracy requirements.

  • Easy to Use: NexTemp Thermometers are easy to use and easier to read than predecessor dot-matrix thermometers. Contrasting color pattern and new enhanced signal "embossed" dots improves visibility under a wide-variety of lighting conditions.

  • Convenient and Versatile: NexTemp can be used for Oral, Axillary and, with the NexTemp sheath, for Rectal temps. Self-contained; no circuits; no moving parts; no covers; and no re-calibration. They are available in both Fahrenheit and Celsius versions.

  • Offer a wide temperature range: Fahrenheit 96°F to 104.8°F or Celsius 35.5°C to 40.4°C.

  • No special storage conditions required: You can use NexTemp Thermometers just about anywhere. Unlike older dot-matrix thermometers, NexTemp requires only normal storage conditions. NexTemp will not "fire" prematurely, nor do they require placing in a freezer for hours to "re-set". A truly "No-Hassle" instrument.

  • Non-Toxic: Replaces dangerous glass-mercury thermometers. Eliminates toxic disposal waste problems. Contains no halogenated nitrobenzines like older dot-matrix devices. Conforms to ASTM E-1299-89.

  • Hygienic: Each individually sealed NexTemp Thermometer is designed to help reduce the risk of cross-infection or re-infection that could occur with other thermometry systems.

  • Economical: Add up the savings and you'll see that NexTemp Thermometers are often less expensive to purchase, and much less expensive to use.

Consider the costs vs. other systems:

    NexTemp vs. older dot-matrix thermometers
    · NexTemp Thermometers storage requirements eliminate the need and expense of environmental controls.
    · Since they will not "fire" prematurely they do not require special "refrigerated" re-setting practices.
    · Because NexTemp Thermometers work reliably every time, they can reduce labor costs.
    · NexTemp's read directly; they don't "overfire" or "predict" to satisfy dwell time claims.

NexTemp vs. electronic or tympanic units
    · No capital equipment purchase is required.
    · No "lost" or stolen units to worry about.
    · No probe covers to buy.
    · No equipment to test and maintain.
    · No batteries to replace.
    · No asset tracking.
    · No return shipping expenses.
    · No additional labor in disinfection required.
    · Less nursing time may be required.
    · Improved accuracy and reliability; fewer "retakes".
    · Reduced hospital costs may accrue due to enhanced infection control.

    Directions for Use:

Oral: Place dot end of thermometer as far back as possible under the tongue in either heat pocket, like a conventional glass thermometer. Have patient press down on tongue with thermometer while keeping mouth closed. Wait AT LEAST ONE MINUTE before removing. READ IMMEDIATELY. DISCARD THERMOMETER. For children under 3 years, use under the arm for 3 MINUTES.

Under arm: Place under arm with green dots deep in axilla. Use arm to hold thermometer in place for AT LEAST 3 MINUTES. READ IMMEDIATELY. DISCARD THERMOMETER.

To Read: Remove thermometer and look at the dot grid. The last dot to turn BLACK indicates the correct temperature. Read temperature IMMEDIATELY. Normal oral temperatures are between 97°F to 99°F and 36.5°C to 37.5°C. DISCARD THERMOMETER.

    2. NexTemp Personal, Reusable Oral Thermometers
