AMERICAN SURGICAL SPONGES, a division of American Silk Sutures, Inc. is a privately owned and operated company. All operations and manufacturing are done in Lynn, Massachusetts by a force of more than 20 skilled stitchers and other qualified workers.

AMERICAN SURGICAL SPONGES' goal and mission is to manufacture and provide surgeons with the finest quality surgical sponges for neuro, orthopedic, vascular and microscopic surgery available today.

Because AMERICAN SURGICAL SPONGES only manufactures specialty sponges, we are able to control our costs. This allows us to offer a quality product at substantial cost savings to our customers. Sales and distribution are done through direct and independent distributors.
