Hemoccult® SENSA® provides simple, convenient guaiac-based testing for fecal occult blood. This test is used with confidence in medical practices as a way to enhance the detection of hidden blood in stool specimens, which may be an early indication of colorectal cancer. Recent studies show that annual screening with Hemoccult® products can reduce mortality for colorectal cancer by 33%.
The enhanced detection and improved readability of Hemoccult® SENSA® offers intense blue reactions with significant improvement in detecting adenomas. With a Performance Monitor® area on each test, quality control is built in. This test provides a low-cost screening method and is used in colorectal cancer screening programs worldwide.
