For thirty years, Hemoccult® has been helping physicians determine the presence of hidden blood in stool specimens as an aid in the early detection of colorectal cancer. More than 300 clinical studies have been published using Hemoccult products, and the American Cancer Society and other healthcare agencies now recommend annual FOBT screening for people age 50 and older.
Hemoccult® is a non-invasive, easy-to-use test that is prepared in the privacy of the patient's home. With a Performance Monitor® area on each test, quality control is built in. This test provides a low-cost screening method when used in conjunction with endoscopic procedures and is used in colorectal cancer screening programs worldwide.
