Hondros College Launches Online RN To BSN Degree Program

Students can complete their Bachelors of Science in Nursing in as little as 12 months

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) - In order to meet the growing need for Bachelor's Degree-prepared Registered Nurses, Hondros College has launched an RN to BSN completion program. The RN to BSN program is designed with the working adult RN in mind, and can be completed completely online.

Linda Hondros, President, says of the program, "Our quality program is delivered completely online and is designed to accommodate both full and part-time students. It provides an opportunity for working nurses to continue their education in spite of their busy lifestyles."

Students are able to complete the program in 12 months, and will be able to enroll into the program on a quarterly basis. Students new to the field of nursing can complete a 1+1+2 program at Hondros College, and will earn their licenses in Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing as they complete the BSN program. This format provides RN to BSN students flexibility to enter the workforce or continue their education as their life allows, and makes it possible for students to earn their Bachelors of Science in Nursing in just three and a half years.

Hondros College made the decision to develop the RN-BSN program in response to input from clinical partners who have a need for Bachelor's-prepared nurses on their staffs. Bachelor's- prepared nurses are able to practice in more diverse settings and at more advanced levels. Research suggests that Bachelor's-prepared nurses are able to provide better care, and many hospitals prefer to hire Bachelor's-prepared nurses for that reason.

Fast Facts about the RN-BSN Completion Program:

  • The Program is 185 credit hours in length. Existing RN's will be able to transfer in 63 credit hours for an Associate Degree in Nursing.
